ABOUT JILL
JIll Marlow Krutzkamp started dancing at the age of 5, and danced professionally for 15 years with Pittsburgh Ballet Theater, Cincinnati Ballet, and Kansas City Ballet. During her dance career, Jill completed her B.S. in Health Education with a focus in Community Health. In 2010, she began her Pilates training with Balanced Body. During this time, Jill trained over 400 hours with Jill Vonderhaar Nader - licensed Physical Therapist and certified Pilates Instructor, as well as Jacqui Haas, Director of Dance Medicine for Cincinnati Ballet and author of the book, Dance Anatomy (which featured Jill). Her clients have included professional ballet dancers, NFL football players, working professionals, senior citizens, and students seeking to move healthier.
After retiring from her professional dance career in 2015, Jill served as the Director of Wellness and Pilates at Performance Rehab Physical Therapy. Together, alongside Kendra Gage (DPT, OCS, CMTPT)—former PT for Joffrey Ballet and Hubbard Street—Jill opened a Performance Rehab clinic specializing in dance medicine. At Performance Rehab, Jill dedicated over 15,000 hours of time working exclusively with dancers in the community, creating dance conditioning summer camps, and serving local dance schools. Jill moved to Sacramento, CA, in the later part of 2017. She taught and was the manager of Nephesh Pilates and currently works for the Sacramento Ballet teaching both Pilates and ballet to the main company, trainees and the students of the school.
In 2011, Jill created Dancehealthier as a source of dance and health integration, which now serves as Movehealthier, with a broader scope of vision. Jill established Movehealthier to inspire people to live a life full of movement and balanced health integration. Jill believes that by intrinsically training your mind in coordination with physical movement, you will have a deeper purpose and drive to continue exercising for a lifetime. Jill designs her classes to target the strength of the whole body with the idea that movement leads to a healthy mind, body and spirit.
GRETA KARAGIANES
Classical Pilates Senior Teacher and Movement Education Leader
Teaches 10 AM - Pilates 101 (60 min)

The above class is for all levels and is designed to be a friendly and supportive introduction to the Pilates method. It focuses on precise alignment, practical movement skills, breathwork and mindfulness. Students can expect to get clear, accessible instruction, personalized attention and a dose of offbeat humor.

Greta grew up in a historic gold-mining town in northern California with her parents, sister and a small menagerie of animals. She has a pioneering spirit and a deeply rooted appreciation for the intrinsic intelligence and beauty of the natural world. She also has a penchant for the frivolous and the fabulous and spent much of her childhood learning the choreography to every dance movie available and pondering my future stage name. Her ambition to dance professionally gave her the focus and drive to leave her hometown and pursue a dance degree at UC Irvine and dream of living and working in the Big Apple.

While she was a talented dancer, she was never a natural. She frequently felt frustrated or ashamed that her body couldn’t move the ways her teachers asked it to. Discovering the work of Joseph Pilates and his method of Contrology, as he originally called it, helped her feel stronger, calmer and more organized internally. For the first time in her life, she felt truly at home in her body. She has now devoted nearly 20 years to the Pilates method. She got her first comprehensive classical training through Power Pilates NY. Later on she continued her training of the classical work at the renowned Pilates Center in Boulder, CO, where she completed their Advanced and Master’s programs. She also holds comprehensive Pilates method certificates from Innovations in Pilates with Marie-Jose Blom and have studied with Tom Meyers, Irene Dowd and other leaders in the mindful movement field.
In addition, she is a certified yoga teacher who completed her 500 hour yoga teacher training certificate at YogaWorks in San Francisco and studied Ashtanga with David Swenson, Iyengar with Karin O'Bannon, and Restorative practices with Lisa Walford.
